kdesrc-build software package provides tool for building KDE from its source repositories, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kdesrc-build
kdesrc-build is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kdesrc-build package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kdesrc-build *
You will get with kdesrc-build package name, version, architecture and description in a table
